Summer Solstice

June 20, 2008

2008-photos-mb-sony-175.jpgThe Summer Solstice is almost upon us.

The official day is June 22, 2008. Talking Green In The Park

June 14, 2008

011.jpgReid Ewing, Ph.D, nationally renowned Land Use and Transportation Planner and author of the just released “Growing Cooler”, will be speaking on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 7 pm in the Biden Center at Cape Henlopen State Park.

As most of you know, Lewes is changing rapidly inside the town limits and outside of it’s municipal boundaries. There are over 2,000 housing units planned for Gills Neck Road which will, like it or not, impact Lewes. For the last year several different groups have paid some of the most accomplished land use and public policy authors to talk not only to the residents of Lewes, but also to the Lewes City Council. There is no doubt that Lewes will change, but the million dollar question is in what direction?
